Officers 2008-2009:

I joined SAME in 2002, when I came to the Dauphin Island Sea Lab as an educator for the Discovery Hall Programs. Before coming to the lab, I taught third grade for one year. I couldn’t resist the call of the ocean.

I enjoy teaching kids of all ages, and teachers, as well. I feel like I am making a difference by bringing ocean education to thousands of kids each year. Another highlight of my job is networking with passionate, engaged educators from all over the region. I look forward to doing many great things with the SAME organization.
