The Southern Association of Marine Educators met
at their annual meeting, which was held January
15-16, 2000, at the Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON)
in Cocodrie, LA. Members enjoyed a guided canoe trip
through the salt marsh, a visit to water control structures protecting
a fresh water marsh and sharing aquatic education activities during
lab time.

One of the highlights of the meeting was a
demonstration of the LUMCON weather station and website. |
