Ocean Commotion

Logo: Ocean CommotionThe Louisiana Sea Grant College Program is proud to host Ocean Commotion 2008 at the LSU Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Thursday, November 13, 2008. Each year Ocean Commotion brings about 3,000 area students, teachers and chaperones to LSU to learn about our coast and sea from about 60 exhibitors.

Exhibits are provided by LSU researchers and public and private organizations. Exhibit viewing is divided into two time slots, each two hours in length, with the early time slot reserved for grades 5-8 students and the other reserved for K-4 students.

The primary purpose of Ocean Commotion is to give students the chance to learn about and touch the products of the sea and coast—the aquatic animals, plants, and minerals—upon which Louisiana's citizens are so dependent.
